South Carolina won a big SEC recruiting battle on Wednesday.
Kamari Blair committed to play for Shane Beamer’s squad. The blue-chip lineman chose South Carolina over 2 other conference programs.
Out of Clarksville (Tennessee) Kirkwood High School, Blair is listed as measuring 6-6 and 280 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Blair is rated 4-stars, the No. 11 player in the state of Tennessee, No. 25 offensive tackle and No. 298 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
Heading into his decision, Blair named an all-SEC final 3 of South Carolina, Tennessee and Ole Miss.

Blair pointed to his connection with Beamer giving South Carolina the edge.
Coach Beamer is very down to earth,” Blair told Nick Arvin of ClarksvilleNow.com “He didn’t want to talk to me about recruiting, he cared about how I was doing. I know he genuinely cares about me; he’s very honest and sincere.
With Blair on board, South Carolina has 11 verbal pledges in its 2026 recruiting class with plenty of room for more. Fans can get a preview of what Blair brings to Columbia next year by checking out his Hudl highlight reel below.
