South Carolina is going with all black for this afternoon’s matchup with South Florida in the Birmingham Bowl.

The Gamecocks revealed their uniform combination Thursdayย morning for the teamโ€™s final appearanceย of the 2016 season:

It’s been a pleasant surprise watching South Carolina in Will Muschamp’s first season, as the team won four of six down the stretch to become bowl eligible after finishing just 3-9 during the 2015 campaign.

But in order for the Gamecocks to finish with a winning record โ€” not to mention secure their fifth bowl win in a row โ€” they will have to defy the odds against a USF opponent that boasts a top-10 scoring offense (43.6 points per game) and is 7-1 over its last eight games, entering today’s contest as 10-point underdogs.

South Carolina (6-6) and USF (10-2) will begin play at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.
