The No. 13-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks took care of business in their Week 1 matchup against the Virginia Tech Hokies, and they did so largely behind the work of their two-star offensive players in quarterback LaNorris Sellers and wideout Nyck Harbor.

Harbor, in particular, has been rightly viewed as one of the most electric speedsters in the entire nation since the former 5-star recruit joined the Gamecocks back in 2023. His game-breaking speed was put on full display once again against the Hokies, when he and Sellers linked up for a long touchdown midway through the fourth quarter for what would go on to be the game-clinching score.

In addition to sealing the deal on the first win of the year for South Carolina, Harbor’s long touchdown catch also showed why he’s such an elite downfield weapon, as he reached a blistering 22.4 MPH, which, according to Reel Analytics, made him the fastest college football player of the week.

Harbor has always been known for his elite speed, and the Gamecocks are hoping to see plenty of more highlight reel-worthy plays like the one above over the course of the season as they look to make their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.
