South Florida got the 2025 season started off on a big note in Week 1 when the Bulls dismantled then No. 25 Boise State last week. On Saturday, the Bulls are in action against Florida, and they are looking for an even bigger upset against the Gators.
In a close game in the third quarter, Bulls quarterback Byrum Brown connected on a 66-yard pass with Keshaun Singleton to take a 15-9 lead entering the fourth quarter.
Here’s a look:
The win against Boise State put the team on the map, but an upset at Florida would put USF in great shape when it comes to making the College Football Playoff.
With the expansion to 12 teams, the top ranked non power-conference champion is guaranteed a spot in the bracket. Last season, that was how Boise State was able to get in the CFP, and the Bulls are looking to use the same path this season.
Despite being in the same state, these teams had played only three times entering Saturday. The Gators have won the previous three matchups, with the last game being in 2022.
