Three-star OT Summie Carlay of Laurens, S.C. announced his commitment to South Carolina on Saturday via Twitter.

Carlay’s commitment comes one day after he tweeted that he received an offer from Virginia. According to 247Sports, Carlay measures 6-foot-5, 265 pounds and is rated as the No. 12 prospect in the state of State Carolina. He received a previous offer from North Carolina State and was also being recruited by North Carolina.
The Gamecocks now have five players committed for the class for 2017.
