Now that the 2025 college football regular season is officially over, the coaching carousel is kicking into high gear around the country, with several programs making changes at their respective head coaching positions.
The latest school to make such a move appears to be the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, who have reportedly fired head coach Tim Beck following their second straight 6-win season, according to On3 insider Pete Nakos
A longtime assistant, Beck served in various roles around the country across the first 25 years of his coaching career, a journey that included stints as the OC at Texas, Ohio State, and NC State, to name a few.
He took over at Coastal Carolina in 2023 following the departure of Jamey Chadwell, and actually led the program to an 8-5 mark and a win in the Hawaii Bowl during his first season at the helm. This would be the high-water mark for his tenure at Coastal, though, as he followed that promising first campaign up with a 6-7 finish in 2024, and a 6-6 mark in 2025.
Now the Chanticleers will be looking for their third head coach in 3 years, further adding to what’s become one of the wildest coaching carousels in college football history.
