Texas A&M has done it again.

Tate Martell, the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback for 2017, committed to Texas A&M Thursday night via Twitter.

Martell committed to the Aggies over Alabama, USC, Washington and Michigan.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound dual-threat signal caller is ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect for the class of 2017, and he earned National Sophomore of the Year honors last season.

โ€œItโ€™s A&M, thatโ€™s where Iโ€™m going,โ€ he said of his pledge, via 247Sports.

โ€œI knew where I wanted to go. I wasnโ€™t planning on committing this early but, when I went out there and took the visit, I just knew thatโ€™s where I wanted to be.โ€

Assuming Martell’s commitment sticks, the Aggies will have landed the No. 1 quarterback in three of four recruiting classes. Kyle Allen was the first, and Kyler Murray was the second.
