Neyland Stadium has a “new, state-of-the-art sound system” and other “gameday enhancements” for the 2026 campaign, according to the University of Tennessee.
The announcement, made on Friday, is part of the Neyland Stadium renovation project, presented by Pilot.
“Year after year, we will continue to give Vol Nation the best in-venue college football experience in the country,” Alicia Longworth, Tennessee Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Marketing Officer, said in a press release. “We appreciate Pilot’s partnership in helping us make that a reality. From a new sound system to our new Champions Corner that honors our winning tradition, we are excited for our fans to experience these new elements at Neyland Stadium this fall.
The biggest upgrade is the sound system, created in consultation with Danley Labs, an organization that “modernized sound systems at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and Lambeau Field in Green Bay.” Tennessee also extended its Southeast Concourse 3, and added “Champions Corner” outside Gate 9 on the southwest side of the stadium.
“Champions Corner will honor the Vols’ national championship head coaches for year-round viewing, including Gen. Robert Neyland, Doug Dickey and Phillip Fulmer,” the university said.
Fans can get their first experience with these renovations on Sept. 5, when the Vols host the Furman Paladins (3:30 p.m. E.T., SEC Network+).
