The Vols landed a commitment from 4-star tight end Carson Sneed on Monday evening. He also had offers from programs such as Ohio State, Oregon, Ole Miss, Auburn and many more.
Sneed, a Tennessee native, becomes the second commitment for Tennessee in the class of 2026.

Sneed represents a huge recruiting win for the Vols. He’s the No. 174 overall player and the No. 8 tight end in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 5 player from the state of Tennessee.
Sneed attends Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds. He made multiple trips to Knoxville this summer prior to announcing this decision.
His commitment comes just days after Tennessee locked down its quarterback in the class of 2026, Faizon Brandon. It’s still extremely early in the 2026 recruiting cycle, but even with just 2 commits, the Vols have the nation’s No. 13-ranked class for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Here are some highlights from Sneed’s sophomore season of high school ball:
