Hezekiah Harris has found a new home in the SEC.

Harris had been verbally pledged to Auburn for more than a year. Those verbal pledges, though, are nonbinding. Harris is now committed to play for Tennessee, which he indicates is his final decision. He was also considering remaining with Auburn as well as flipping to Florida.

Out of Jemison (Alabama) High School, Harris is listed as measuring over 6-5 and 235 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Harris is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 player in the state of Alabama, No. 13 edge defender and No.100 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

Harris picked up 26 scholarship offers during his recruitment. Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State and Texas A&M were among the other schools to show interest. This spring, Harris took official visits to Auburn, Florida and Tennessee before announcing his new commitment to Josh Heupel’s program on Monday.

With Harris on board, Tennessee now has 25 verbal commitments in its 2026 class, which ranks No. 7 nationally on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what Harris brings to Rocky Top by checking out his highlights in the video below, via Hudl:
