Tennessee lost a tough game on Saturday night, as the Volunteers fell 33-27 to the Oklahoma Sooners in a game that almost all but eliminate Josh Heupel and his team from the College Football Playoff.
However, the loss didn’t hurt the Volunteers when it comes to the recruiting trail, as the team got great news on Sunday as 2026 tight end Luca Wolf flipped his commitment from Cal to Tennessee.

Wolf had been committed to Cal since June, and had offers from other schools like Virginia, USF and UCF.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is a 3-star recruit. Wolf is currently the No. 3 ranked player in England, and the No. 76 tight end in the class. He is a bit of an unknown, as he is from the NFL Academy in England. He took a visit to Tennessee this weekend, and was offered a scholarship last month by the Volunteers.
The 2026 class is a big one for Tennessee, as he became the 24th player to commit from the class. However, it was an important one as Tennessee didn’t have any current tight ends committed in the class.
The Volunteers will have a bye next before taking on New Mexico State on Nov. 15.
