Tennessee long snapper makes incredible effort to save touchback vs. Georgia

When it comes to big-time college football, effort is usually the deciding factor between winning and losing, and the Tennessee Volunteers just made the type of elite effort play that coaches at every level of the game rave about.
The Vols were forced to punt after a quick 3-and-out in the early second quarter against the Georgia Bulldogs, and junior punter Jackson Ross kicked an absolute missile to flip the field and pin the Dawgs back deep.
Unfortunately for Tennessee, though, it looked as if Ross’ kick had a bit too much juice on it and seemed destined to bounce into the end zone for a touchback. This would have been the case if it weren’t for redshirt sophomore long snapper Bennett Brady.
Brady ran nearly 60 yards downfield to stop the ball from rolling into the end zone at the 1-yard line in one of the best plays any special teamer has made thus far across all of college football.
Long snapper is usually the least celebrated position on the field, but Salansky is doing his part to change this narrative with this insane play against the Dawgs. If the Vols can manage to pull out the win, then this will also be a moment that is looked back on as a massive reason why Tennessee was able to get the job done.
