Out of Greensboro (North Carolina) Grimsley High School, Brandon was a big get for Josh Heupel‘s staff on the recruiting trail. Brandon was rated 5-stars, the No. 2 player in North Carolina, No. 3 quarterback and No. 10 prospect overall in the Class of 2026 on the 247Sports Composite. Brandon signed with Tennessee over 24 other scholarship offers.
Brandon will make his Tennessee debut on Sept. 5 when the No. 20 Vols host Furman. MacIntyre enters his sophomore season as the backup. MacIntyre played in two regular-season games as a freshman.
For Tennessee, Brandon is the 13th true freshman starting quarterback in program history.
