Tennessee is looking to add to its defensive backfield through the transfer portal, and appears to be targeting a former Big 12 safety who is currently in the transfer portal.
Qua Moss, who spent 2025 at Kansas State, is in line for a visit to Tennessee. That’s according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.
Moss played in all 12 games for the Wildcats in 2025, making 41 tackles and 5.0 tackles for a loss. He also recorded 1.0 sacks and two interceptions.
Before his time at K-State, Moss started his college career in the JUCO ranks in 2023. In 2024, the LaGrange, Ga. product transferred closer to home and landed at West Georgia, where he made 56 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, and 5.0 sacks.
He then made his way to FBS, playing a season at K-State in what turned out to be the last for Chris Klieman before his retirement. Moss is now back in the transfer portal as he looks to continue his college career elsewhere.
Per Zenitz and Hummer, Moss has two additional visits outside of the one he is taking to Tennessee. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is reportedly lining up visits to Kentucky and Florida State.
