Wednesday night saw another chippy and hard-fought battle between Florida and Tennessee on the hardwood. In the end, the Gators blew a halftime lead before the 2 sides had a heated exchange in the postgame handshake line.

Heading into halftime, Florida had solid control of the game with a 42-34 lead. Unfortunately, the Gators would go quiet after the break as the Volunteers stormed back.

After the game, both teams were seen visibly jawing back and forth with some Gator players restrained from running toward the Tennessee bench. As both sides eventually filtered off the court, the Volunteers could be seen doing the chomp toward the Gators.

In the win, Tennessee’s Santiago Vescovi led all scorers with 23 points while shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range. Anthony Duruji and Tyree Appleby tied for Florida’s team lead with 16 points apiece.
