Texas A&M finds new strength and conditioning coach, per report
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Texas A&M recently lost head strength and conditioning coach Jerry Schmidt to Oklahoma. Schmidt has a long history with the Sooners, serving on the staff there from 1999 to 2017.
Now, though, it seems the Aggies have already found a replacement for Schmidt, choosing to promote from within.
Per Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, the Aggies will promote Brandon Sanders to the head strength and conditioning coach position:
Texas A&M is promoting Brandon Sanders to head strength & conditioning coach, a source tells @on3sports.
Has been part of Jimbo Fisher’s strength staff going back to Jimbo’s time at Florida State. https://t.co/rsgPgR79WR…

Sanders has worked with Fisher since Fisher was Florida State’s head coach, so it’s clear the 2 coaches are on the same page.
The continuity will be important as the Aggies enter the 2022 campaign with high expectations.
