For many college players, earning an invitation to the NFL scouting combine is a cause for celebration. While Texas A&M’s Garrett Gramling may be excited about his invitation, the former Aggies offensive lineman has decided to turn down the invitation and retire from football, according to a report from Chase Goodbread of NFL.com.

Gramling was one of two players to say “no thanks” to the scouting combine. The other was former Wisconsin tight end Sam Arneson.

As a fifth-year senior, Gramling started 10 of 12 games for the Aggies and saw action at both right guard and left guard. In his five years at Texas A&M, Gramling appeared in 27 games.
