Texas A&M is cooking on the recruiting trail under head coach Mike Elko, and the Aggies picked up another prime piece for the 2026 recruiting class on Friday.
This time, Texas A&M pulled a commitment from Tylan Wilson, a 4-star recruit out of Mississippi. Wilson was also considering Arkansas and Clemson before committing to the Aggies, giving another boost to a top-5 recruiting class.

Wilson is rated as a 4-star defensive back out of Pascagoula High School in Mississippi. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds and is a multisport athlete who also plays basketball.
According to the 247 Sports Composite, Wilson is a 4-star safety and the 20th overall safety in the entire country for the 2026 recruiting class. He’s the No. 10 prospect from Mississippi for the cycle.
At this point, the Aggies are pushing toward the top of the overall class ratings for 2026. The team composite currently gives A&M the No. 3 recruiting class in the entire country with 25 hard commitments for the cycle. The average rating for the prospects committed to the Aggies is 92.22, also among the best in the entire country.
Last season, Elko cracked the top-10 recruiting classes in the country for the first time ever, and he’s closing in on even better things for the 2026 recruiting class.
