Moments ago, three-star offensive and defensive tackle Jayden Peevy announced his commitment to Texas A&M during a pep rally at his high school.

Peevy (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) ranks as the No. 97 prospect from the state of Texas for the class of 2017. He picked the Aggies over Tennessee, Iowa State, Houston, and Ole Miss.

โ€œI love it down there,โ€ Peevy told 247Sports. โ€œIt feels like a family. Itโ€™s a top education and you have the Aggie Network when you get out.โ€

Texas A&M will reportedly use Peevy as a defensive tackle, though he has experience as an offensive left tackle. As a junior โ€” his first year playing HS football โ€” Peevy recorded 41 tackles, 9.0 sacks, and 18 quarterback hurries in seven games of action.

Peevy’s commitment bumps A&M up to the No. 13 class in the country.
