Sights and sounds from Texas A&M’s first spring practice

Texas A&M’s spring practice got underway Monday evening, and it’s the beginning stages to a rebound season (hopefully) for the Aggies.
The Aggies welcomed Oklahoma transfer Trevor Knight, who will compete with Jake Hubenak for the starting job.
Following practice, head coach Kevin Sumlin talked about the offense’s tempo under new coordinator Noel Mazzone.
“We’re moving very quickly, and that’s a good thing,” Sumlin said, according to Brent Zwerneman. “We’ve got guys who are used to being at a fast tempo, and I think that helps us. That’s who we are. We’re better off doing that, and we were practicing like that today.”
Here’s Sumlin explaining to the media that his team is “a little bit further ahead” than he expected.

Speaking of the quarterbacks, here they are competing in throwing drills Monday:

The feel at A&M practice was quite different and it's clear that both Trevor Knight and Jake Hubenak are pulling in the same direction.

OU transfer (yes, another one) RB Keith Ford is a good bet to start in the Aggie backfield this fall. pic.twitter.com/09PxSQeGQV
