Texas made a big splash on the recruiting trail on Friday afternoon.
The Longhorns have earned a commitment from 4-star tight end Brock Williams. The talented pass-catcher shared that news with Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
“Longhorn nation, I’m home,” Williams told Fawcett.
Texas went into Big Ten country to land Williams’ commitment. He attends Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Illinois. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds.

Williams chose the Longhorns over programs such as Georgia and Ohio State. He’s regarded as one of the top tight end prospects in the nation for this cycle. Williams is currently ranked No. 79 overall in his class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Williams is also the No. 4 tight end and the No. 5 player from the state of Illinois in the 2027 class. He’s long been a target for the Longhorns โ he first earned an offer from Texas back in March of 2025 and was on campus in Austin for the program’s junior day back in January, per 247Sports.
Texas is now up to 11 commits in the class of 2027, led by 5-star wide receiver Easton Royal. The Longhorns’ class currently ranks No. 16 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
