Part of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreitโ€™s job is to make predictions during ESPNโ€™s โ€œCollege GameDay.โ€ Each week, weโ€™ll keep track of how the former Ohio State quarterbackโ€™s SEC prognostication is going for the 2015 season.

This week: 3-1
Season: 4-3

THE PICKS

Week 2 was very kind to Herbstreit. Only Alabama’s charity kept him from recording a perfect week.

WIN: LSU over Mississippi State โ€” A nail-biter in Starkville that could have gone either way wound up in the win column for Herbstreit.

WIN: Oklahoma over Tennessee โ€” Tennessee raced to a 17-0 lead, but Oklahoma tied it in the final minute, and went on to clip the Volunteers, 31-24, in two overtimes.

WIN: Kentucky over South Carolina โ€” Herbstreit was high on the Wildcats, and they rewarded his faith with a hard-fought 26-22 win in Columbia.

LOSS: Alabama over Middle Tennessee (covering -35) โ€” Alabama was more than good enough to handle the Blue Raiders on Saturday, but the Crimson Tide didn’t have the sort of offensive explosion required to cover the five-touchdown spread.
