As the transfer portal’s open period carries on and more programs are searching for their signal-callers of the future, a key domino appears primed to drop soon.

Touted freshman quarterback Landen Clark out of the FCS’ Elon has been a hot commodity in the portal, and he revealed the final 4 programs he will be deciding between on Sunday.

Clark’s list features a pair of SEC programs in LSU and Kentucky, with Michigan and James Madison joining those two.

The 6-foot quarterback starred in 2025 after taking a redshirt year in 2024, as Clark threw for 2,321 yards and 18 touchdowns to 8 interceptions while also rushing for 614 yards and 11 more scores this past season. A true dual-threat with plenty of eligibility and development left ahead of him, Clark is an alluring portal prospect to many high-caliber programs despite his FCS background.

Lane Kiffin is exhausting all options in his quarterback hunt, and he could be hoping that Clark would take a similar jump that Trinidad Chambliss took under him after rising up from the lower levels of college football.

Meanwhile, Will Stein‘s offensive pedigree has already made its mark in Kentucky’s recruiting efforts, as his background in helping produce quarterbacks like Frank Harris, Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel has caught the attention of quarterbacks like Clark and other offensive weapons.

A native of Radford, Virginia, Clark likely chose the Dukes for the allure of playing for a home-state school.

The former Elon quarterback wrote that a commitment would be coming soon.
