Trevor Duncan, a 6-foot-5 1/2 lineman out of Knoxville, Tennessee (Knoxville Catholic), has announced his college commitment and he’ll play in the SEC.
Duncan announced a commitment to Tennessee on Friday, as he has 6 offers. He’s been recruited by Glen Elarbee and Rodney Garner.
Duncan’s brother, Cody, is a redshirt freshman tight end at Virginia Tech.
Duncan is Tennessee’s seventh commitment for the Vols’ 2023 recruiting class after quarterback Nico Iamaleava Jr, tight end Ethan Davis, offensive lineman Ayden Bussell, safety Jack Luttrell, edge rusher Nathan Robinson and wide receiver Nate Spillman.
Duncan chose the Vols after other offers came from Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Purdue, West Virginia and Virginia Tech.
In 2021, Catholic finished 5-5 and was eliminated in the first round of the Division II-AAA playoffs by Christian Brothers. Duncan played both offensive line and defensive end, recording 61 tackles, nine tackles for loss and three sacks, Knox News reported.
It’s unclear which position he would play at Tennessee as Duncan’s own Hudl profile lists him as a defensive end and tight end, and on Twitter, he describes himself as a defensive lineman.
