Twice as nice: LSU lands commitments from 5-star 2027 edge, OL brother for 2028

Landing a commitment from one member of the Whitehead family was not enough for Lane Kiffin‘s staff.

Chris Whitehead got the party started on Wednesday afternoon. The edge defender in the Class of 2027 was the first of the Whitehead brothers to commit to play to LSU.

Out of Chesterfield (Virginia) Lloyd C. Bird High School, Whitehead is listed at 6-4 and 240 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, he’s rated 5-stars, the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia, No. 4 edge defender and No. 31 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

He chose LSU over South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Ohio State and others.

A few hours later, Isaiah Whitehead. Chris’s younger brother, Isaiah Whitehead is an offensive tackle in the 2028 recruiting class. He’s rated 3-stars, the No. 7 player in Virginia, No. 34 offensive tackle and No. 405 prospect overall.

Isaiah Whitehead was also considering South Carolina and Virginia Tech, he told Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
