Uber justice: Judge reportedly dismissed felony charge against Marlon Humphrey
Marlon Humphrey had his name cleared in a Tuscaloosa court this week as a judge dismissed theย felony robbery charge the former Alabama defensive back faced following a January Uber ride.
Humphrey was booked by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office for a third-degree robbery charge in January after an Uber driver accused the current Baltimore Raven defensive back of stealing his phone charger and threatening him with violence.
After hearing testimony, a Tuscaloosa judge threw out the charge against Humphrey on Friday, according toย Stephanie Taylor of the Tuscaloosa News. The charge Humphreyย faced was a Class C felony, which could have resulted in years in prison if aย conviction was handed out.
This is obviously good news for Humphrey, who can now focus his offseason completely on his preparationย for his second season in the NFL.
