UCF trolls North Carolina by recreating Bill Belichick-Jordon Hudson photo after win over Tar Heels
Through 2 weeks, Bill Belichick is undefeated against teams with city names. He’s 0-2 versus schools with 3-letter abbreviations after Saturday’s 34-9 loss to UCF. But at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that he’s Jordon Hudson’s knight in shining armor.
Following their win, the Knights’ social media team had fun at the expense of Belichick and Hudson. They recreated the couple’s iconic beach photo in their postgame victory graphic, replacing Belichick with their mascot and Hudson with a massive W.
For reference, here’s the photo from earlier this offseason that served as the inspiration for this post:
UCF never trailed North Carolina in Saturday’s game. Knight quarterback Tayven Jackson kicked off the scoring with a 13-yard touchdown run to cap a 13-play, 75-yard opening drive. UNC signal-caller Gio Lopez then threw an interception on UNC’s fourth play. The turnover — the first of 2 giveaways on the day for the Tar Heels — set up a 36-yard field goal that gave UCF a 10-0 lead. Once the Knights earned their double-digit advantage, they never relinquished it.
Belichick and Co. get a bye week to recover from their defeat before battling Clemson on Oct. 4. UCF (3-0) heads to the Little Apple — for their first Big 12 conference game of the season — to face Kansas State on Sept. 27. Kickoff between the Knights and Wildcats is set for 12:00 p.m. E.T. on Fox Sports 1.
