LSU picked up another commitment for its 2015 recruiting class, with three-star cornerback Ugo Amadi announcing his college decision Tuesday morning.

Amadi, a Nashville native, announced his college decision on the morning of LSU’s Music City Bowl matchup with Notre Dame in his hometown. Per 247sports’ industry composite rankings, Amadi is the 30th-ranked cornerback in the class of 2015. The 5-foot-10, 180 pound Amadi picked LSU over Tennessee, which was considered a front-runner for much of Amadi’s recruitment.

LSU is now up to 16 commits for its 2015 recruiting class. The Tigers already had commitments from two other cornerbacks: Kevin Tolliver II (five stars) and Xavier Lewis (four stars).

The defensive back recruits will bolster a secondary that could be down two key players from this year; junior Jalen Collins is considering leaving early for the NFL draft, while sophomore Rashard Robinson is suspended indefinitely and his future with the team is in doubt.

Amadi has talked about his intentions of bringing another Nashville prospects with him to his college choice: four-star defensive end Kyle Phillips. Phillips has said he will announce his college decision Saturday at the Army All-American game.
