University of Florida’s Twitter account is being humiliated after sending out confusing tweet
By SDS Staff
Published:
Florida and Miami are set to open the 2019 college football season Saturday night in Orlando in a nationally televised Week 0 event but you may not know that based on a recent tweet from the University of Florida.
When the clock struck midnight in Gainesville, the account was quick to point out it was “game day” for the Gators on Friday. While many have pointed out that the account is referring to the university’s soccer team, the vast majority of those that have seen the tweet are pointing out that Florida’s football team is in fact playing on Saturday, not Friday.
If you missed it, here is the tweet the school sent out:
Game day.

The reactions have not been kind, including one from the official Miami Hurricanes account:
?? weird flex, but okay.
