There’s two games on Saturday’s docket that SEC fans and the rest of college football will be keeping an eye on:

ARKANSAS vs. No. 6 TEXAS A&M 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS — The Razorbacks have been waiting on this game for a couple weeks, ever since they put the finishing touches on a dominant victory at Texas Tech which sent a noticeable tremor through the SEC West. A victory in Arlington at AT&T Stadium would qualify as more than an aftershock, a momentum-boosting win that would likely push Bret Bielema’s club into next week’s Top 25. This is Texas A&M’s first challenging game since the opener at South Carolina, also known as Kenny Hill’s introduction to the college football world. How the Aggies fair against the Razorbacks’ strong rushing attack will decide this one in a game that could produce a ton of points.
MIZZOU at No. 13 SOUTH CAROLINA, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN — Maty Mauk’s happy he can look to the other huddle and not see Connor Shaw, South Carolina’s hero last season who helped the Gamecocks erase a 17-point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Tigers on the road in the second overtime. Last time Mizzou came to Williams-Brice Stadium, the Tigers left with a three-touchdown loss. South Carolina’s fourth SEC game this season is only Mizzou’s first, so we’re still not sure what to make of the defending Eastern Division champs. We’ll have a better understanding when this one’s over, a matchup separating a contender from a pretender.
