Urban Meyer names top 3 running backs in college football

There’s plenty of top-notch running backs showing out this college football season. FOX Sports’ Urban Meyer recently named his choices during a 3-and-out segment.
The 3-time national champion head coach has Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love at No. 1, followed by Missouri‘s Ahmad Hardy and Texas Tech’s Cameron Dickey.
All 3 running backs are having superb seasons.

The 6-foot Love has rushed for 530 yards and 8 touchdowns while also catching 14 receptions for 160 yards and 3 scores. Most recently, Love rushed for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns in Notre Dame’s 36-7 victory vs. NC State on Oct. 11.
The 5-foot-10 Hardy has tallied 782 yards and 9 touchdowns on the ground for 6.8 yards per carry. Hardy had 100+ rushing yards in every game this season until being limited to 52 yards in Missouri’s 27-24 loss against Alabama on Oct. 11.
The 5-foot-10 Dickey has ran for 591 yards and 8 touchdowns at a clip of 6.5 yards per carry, while also having 10 receptions for 122 yards and a score. Dickey erupted for 263 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground in Texas Tech’s 42-17 victory vs. Kansas on Oct. 11.
This is definitely shaping up to be an exciting race for the Doak Walker Award. It’ll be fun to see how the rest of the season plays out for these 3 standouts.
