Vanderbilt and coach Clark Lea need a strong recruiting class to come in when the Early Signing Period starts next week.

After going 0-8 against SEC competition in 2021, the Commodores face an important 2022 season. On Saturday, they got some good news on the recruiting trails.

As you can see below, 3-star 2022 S Jeffrey Ugo out of Texas took to Twitter to announce he was heading to Nashville:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Ugo is the No. 82 safety in the class of 2022 and the No. 153 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

Vanderbilt now has 21 players in its 2022 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 30 nationally and No. 11 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
