With more than 30 former Auburn players in the NFL, Tiger-on-Tiger crime is bound to happen every now and then.
Carolina QB Cam Newton was looking to extend the Panthers’ 26-16 lead on San Diego when he threw toward the end zone, but the pass went into the hands of Chargers CB Trovon Reed. The video shows Reed taking the ball 100 yards back for a pick-six, but video review showed that Reed was down at the San Diego 3-yard line.
Reed, who played wide receiver before converting to cornerback in his final season, was a redshirt freshman in 2010, Newton’s only season on the Plains.
