Three-star defensive tackle D’Andre Christmas-Giles (New Orleans) has verbally committed to Tennessee, doing so via Twitter on his 18th birthday Saturday:

Christmas-Giles is the Vols’ 16th commitment for 2016 and ranked as the nationโ€™s No. 112 defensive tackle and the No. 91 overall prospect from Louisiana, according to 247Sports Composite.

โ€œIโ€™ve been thinking about it since I got the offer โ€”ย and a little bit before I got the offer,โ€ Christmas-Giles told 247Sports. “I talked to the coaches, and Iโ€™ve been talking to them, looking more into the school and thinking about it. I really liked it, and once I got the offer, thatโ€™s when I started thinking about committing. I got the offer, and Iโ€™ve been keeping up with the coaches, building my relationship up, and then I talked to my parents to see how they feel.”
