Though the 2017 season starts in less than a week for the Arkansas Razorbacks, star QB Austin Allen took some time out from his busy schedule to go back to his roots.
The senior quarterback went back to his elementary school to surprise his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Thomason, on her 80th birthday.
As you can see below, Thomason was thrilled to see her former student, who has gone on to do great things since leaving her class:

Allen’s brother, Brandon, also was in Mrs. Thomason’s class, as was his sister, so the family has deep ties to the teacher.
Allen led the SEC with 3,430 passing yards last year, to go with 25 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He’ll try to be even better as a senior this fall, when the Razorbacks will need him to carry an even bigger load.
