WATCH: Syracuse QB dropkicks Miami defender on failed hurdle attempt

Hurdling is all the rage in college football these days, but when it goes wrong, it doesn’t look so good.
For Syracuse QB Eric Dungey, he’s lucky he didn’t get ejected for a failed hurdle attempt against Miami on Saturday afternoon.
As you can see in the video below, Dungey escapes the pocket and starts to run when he decides to hurdle a Miami defender. However, the defender stays high, so Dungey instead delivers a flying kick to the Hurricanes player:

The Hurricanes hold a narrow lead over Syracuse late in the fourth quarter, but the two ACC squads are locked in a tight battle.
However, if Dungey wants to avoid penalties moving forward, he should probably try to avoid pulling Jackie Chan-style dropkicks on opposing defenders.
