Tim Tebow and LSU had some epic games over his four-year career, and it’s only perfect Florida is honoring Tebow against the Tigers.
Florida will unveil Tebow’s Ring of Honor plaque Saturday, and the Gators will also honor the 2008 national championship team. SEC Nation took a moment to ask Tebow what the honor means.
“It’s not just about me. You see, for me, being a Gator was not just about four years,” Tebow explained. “It was a lifetime. I was born a Gator. I’ll be a Gator until the day I die. It was my grandfather’s dream to see Florida win an SEC Championship. He died before that ever happened. My parents’ first date was the Florida-Georgia game. I was bred for this. I love it. It’s not just me up in that stadium. It’s my family. It’s my mom and dad. It’s for all of Gator Nation. I truly feel like I bleed orange and blue.”
SEC Nation shared the video via Twitter:
