Week 1 of the 2025 college football season is not arriving until late August, but prominent kickoff times are already being set by ESPN.
According to multiple reports on social media, including insider Brett McMurphy, a quartet of games between SEC and ACC competition in Week 1 has been set, including a tripleheader across Saturday, Aug. 30. That tripleheader includes Alabama traveling to face Florida State in Tallahassee and LSU traveling to face Clemson.
Between those two games, it will be the Tigers vs. the Tigers that drew the primetime slot on ABC. The showdown between Kalen DeBoer and Mike Norvell will come in the midday window.
Week 1 also includes a Sunday afternoon showdown in Atlanta between South Carolina and Virginia Tech. That matchup is set for 3 pm ET.

Saturday, Aug. 30
- Syracuse vs. Tennessee (in Atlanta) — 12 pm, ABC
- Alabama at Florida State — 3:30 pm, ABC
- LSU at Clemson — 7:30 pm, ABC
Sunday, Aug. 31
- South Carolina vs. Virginia Tech (in Atlanta) — 3 pm, ESPN
