Week 3 SEC kickoff weather forecast: Expect a beautiful day of football

Hopefully the weather delays are behind us and SEC football fans can stash away the umbrellas.

With the exception of the Florida-Kentucky game in Lexington, Ky., every SEC team should kick off to clear skies and delightful weather.

Eight of the 10 games involving SEC teams tomorrow feature a 0 percent chance of rain at kickoff, while Austin Peay-Vanderbilt (15 percent) and Florida-Kentucky (45 percent) could turn out nice as well.

There are a few stadiums that will be hot, even muggy, on Saturday, so fans need to drink lots of fluids — though I doubt the good people of Baton Rouge, La., need that kind of reminder. The Auburn-LSU kickoff is forecast to occur under sunny skies at 93 degrees, so don’t be surprised if cramps are a factor in that game.

At 86 degrees, South Carolina-Georgia is the only other SEC game that could be warm enough to create some issues. The Gamecocks really struggled with cramps during a muggy opening-game win against North Carolina.

The Texas Tech-Arkansas game should feature ideal conditions in Fayetteville as the Razorbacks try to overcome last week’s debacle — expect mostly sunny skies and 72 degrees.

Here’s to hoping for no more weather interruptions this week, especially in that exciting matchup between the Gators and Wildcats.
