When does spring football start for Texas A&M? Details, key dates
Texas A&M spring football is right around the corner.
The Aggies are already gearing up for a huge offseason under Mike Elko. After starting 11-1 in 2025, Texas A&M has aspirations of making it deeper into the College Football Playoff next season.
Those efforts begin with spring football in College Station. Texas A&M previously announced its entire spring football schedule, including information on its 2026 spring game.
When does Texas A&M spring football start?

When is Texas A&M’s spring game?
Texas A&M has not yet announced full details for the Maroon & White Game. However, most programs hold their annual spring game on the final day of spring practice. That would indicate April 18 as a strong possibility.
In 2025, many top programs chose not to hold a traditional spring game due to factors such as roster attrition, the spring portal window and other variables. For this year, there is no second transfer portal window following spring practice, so several teams have already announced plans to return to a traditional spring game format for 2026.
Texas A&M was one of a handful of Power 4 programs that held a spring game in 2025.
Texas A&M incoming players
If Texas A&M does have a formal spring game in 2026, it will be the first opportunity for fans to see numerous exciting additions that Elko’s staff made to the roster this offseason.
Incoming transfers for the Aggies include former Alabama receiver Isaiah Horton, former Tennessee cornerback Rickey Gibson and former Alabama offensive tackle Wilkin Formby, among others.
Texas A&M’s 2026 high school recruiting class also includes a group of 25 signees, led by 5-star cornerback Brandon Arrington and 4-star quarterback Helaman Casuga.
