Freshman wideout Shakenneth Williams returned to practice Monday following an ankle injury he termed “minor,” according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

When asked if he thought he could move up the depth chart at a position in which the Bulldogs are stacked, Williams said wide receivers coach Tony Ball has a plan.

“I’ve just got to sit back and wait patiently and do what he tells me to do,” Williams told the Banner-Herald.  “Learn, study and we’ll see what happens.”

According to Williams, the plan is for him to be ready in case someone goes down.  Due to the Bulldogs’ depth — there are 14 guys at receiver — a redshirt is likely to come.
