The Big 12 has been through some major changes over the last couple of decades, losing powerhouses like Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Mizzou to other conferences.
Meanwhile, Colorado left for a bit before eventually rejoining the league after the collapse of the Pac-12.
But, ahead of the 2026 season, the league is back up to a robust 16 squads. Texas Tech looks like the best of the bunch, but there are plenty of teams that could challenge the Red Raiders for the league crown.
