Worst pass of the year? Taylen Green throws puzzling INT vs. Texas

The sooner this season ends for Arkansas, the better.

The Razorbacks started the season with back-to-back blowouts of Alabama A&M and Arkansas State. They haven’t won since, blowing leads against Ole Miss and Memphis before a heavy loss at home against Notre Dame. A day later, Sam Pittman was fired. Bobby Petrino took over as interim head coach, but despite being in striking distance of several teams, it hasn’t turned into wins.

Barring a big comeback at Texas, it looks as if Arkansas’s losing streak will reach nine games. One moment in the third quarter tells the story of how things have gone for the Hogs in 2025.

Facing a third-and-3 situation at their own 43, Taylen Green faked a handoff before he started to run it himself. The key phrase is “started to” because, for some reason, he flipped the ball up to…Texas DB Jelani McDonald.

“What is he doing?” ESPN’s Joe Tessitore, certainly speaking for all Arkansas fans, exclaimed while calling the play on ABC.

Green clearly tried to make something out of nothing. But it was just a puzzling decision and one of many disappointing plays for the Razorbacks this season. They’ll finish winless in SEC play unless they somehow turn the tables against the Longhorns on Saturday and upset Mizzou to end the regular season.
