Nolan McGill’s hilarious refusal to sing “Rocky Top” has led to a special opportunity to see his Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff.

McGill, a fifth-grader from Chattanooga, went viral on social media when his mother posted a clip of Rivermont Elementary’s holiday performance. McGill was adamant about not singing “Rocky Top,” the song widely used by the Tennessee Volunteers.

The video was widely shared on TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms. At some point, it got the attention of the folks at Fanatics. The company shared a video on Monday in which McGill was surprised with tickets to see Georgia face off against Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl on Thursday.

The Bulldogs are in the Sugar Bowl after earning a first-round bye as the College Football Playoff’s No. 3 seed after winning the SEC Championship. Georgia will face No. 6 seed Ole Miss, a rematch from UGA’s 43-35 win in Athens on Oct. 18. It’s the second postseason rematch for the Rebels, who defeated Tulane in the CFP First Round to advance to the Sugar Bowl.
