Zy’marion Lang, 2024 WR from Florida, reveals SEC commitment

Zy’Marion Lang gave Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks coaching staff some good news from the recruiting trail on Sunday.

The 3-star wide receiver, from Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Fla., is ranked as the No. 78 player at his position by 247Sports. He had a final 4 of Kansas State, Pitt, South Carolina, and USF.

However, the Gamecocks ultimately won out.

“Since they’ve offered me, nothing’s changed about them,” Lang told 247Sports. “Every time I’ve been up there, they showed love. They made me feel like I was at the crib. I just felt loved, protected and comfortable around them. I just liked it out there. Until this day, they still hit my phone up.”

Lang also revealed that he was told by Beamer that he could potentially see time at defensive back. However, he will primarily start out as a wide receiver.

Lang is the 14th player to commit to the Gamecocks from the 2024 class, which is currently ranked 26th in the country. Below, you can take a look at his highlights:
