It was the 8th appearance in the WCWS for the Longhorns. After missing out on a national title the first 7 times, Texas got it done on Friday, defeating Texas Tech 10-4 to take the best-of-3 series in Oklahoma City.
Teagan Kavan pitched a complete game for the Longhorns and was named the Most Outstanding Player. Mia Scott, playing on a torn ACL, led the way at the plate, collecting 4 RBIs on a grand slam to open up the lead to 10-0.
