Sean Pedulla was the hero of the Los Angeles Clippers’ overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Summer League on Friday night. The former Ole Miss guard dropped 9 straight points in overtime to lead LA to a 128-120 win.
Here’s a look at the sequence that solidified the win for Pedulla and the Clippers:
Pedulla’s stat line for the game is equally impressive. He dropped 24 points, behind only Keaton Wagler’s 26 points for the game lead, while leading LA with 11 assists and 6 steals. In addition, Pedulla grabbed 5 rebounds and hit 5 of his 9 3-point attempts on the evening. Overall, Pedulla was 8-for-15 from the floor.
Pedulla is entering his second season in the NBA after signing with the Clippers undrafted last year. He played sparingly for the Clippers, averaging 4.4 minutes per game with 1.9 points on 33% shooting.
Before landing with the Clippers, Pedulla starred for 1 season with the Rebels after 3 years in Blacksburg with Virginia Tech. Pedulla averaged 15.6 points per game as a senior, adding 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game while shooting a respectable 44% from the field.
Last night’s consolation game was the final matchup of the Summer League for Los Angeles.
