The Southeastern Conference sends plenty of talent to the National Football League every season, and there is always SEC alumni representing in the postseason and eventually donning Super Bowl rings.

The same is true for Pro Bowl honors, as a pair of former SEC quarterbacks were chosen Tuesday to play in the annual Pro Bowl Games – as former Georgia standout Matthew Stafford and former Mississippi State standout Dak Prescott were chosen to their respective conference teams.

Stafford, who starred at Georgia from 2006-08 before being selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2009 NFL Draft, is 1 of 3 quarterbacks chosen to play for the NFC team. The Rams QB leads the NFL with 4,179 passing yards and 40 touchdowns and has thrown just 5 interceptions to help Los Angeles to an 11-4 record and into the thick of the NFC West race.

Stafford is joined on the NFC roster by Prescott, who starred at Mississippi State from 2011-15 and was selected in the fourth round by the Dallas Cowboys with the 135th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Prescott ranks second in the NFL this season with 4,175 passing yards and has piled up 28 touchdowns with 10 interceptions as the Cowboys are 6-8.

Stafford and Prescott are joined by Seattle’s Sam Darnold on the NFC roster. The AFC quarterbacks are Buffalo’s Josh Allen, Justin Herbert from the Los Angeles Chargers, and New England’s Drake Maye. The Pro Bowl Games will be held during Super Bowl week in San Francisco, culminating in a 7-on-7 flag football game on Feb. 3.
