ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller confirmed his left arm was amputated as a result of a “serious car accident” he was involved in last week in Missouri.
Miller shared that news on social media on Tuesday morning, saying he is “deeply grateful for the exceptional care” he received while hospitalized.
“As a result of the accident, I sustained significant injuries, including multiple fractures and broken ribs,” Miller wrote on social media. “I also underwent a life-saving amputation of my left arm. While I have a long road ahead, Iโm focused on my recovery and taking things one day at a time.”
Miller closed his statement by saying he’s looking forward to getting back to his work with ESPN to discuss the 2027 NFL Draft class.
Miller has long been an NFL Draft analyst but joined ESPN in 2021. He began contributing as an on-air analyst for the World Wide Leader at the 2023 NFL Draft. Prior to ESPN, Miller covered the NFL Draft at Bleacher Report for more than a decade.
Numerous college football and NFL media members have shared messages of support for Miller:
