Evan McPherson continued his stellar postseason play with a game-winning 31-yard field goal to send the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl with a 27-24 victory after they were down 21-3.
It matched the largest comeback in championship game history, as the Bengals overcame an 18-point deficit to secure the victory and win the AFC Championship on Sunday.
Joe Burrow led the Bengals with another strong game as he was 23-for-38 passing for 250 yards with 2 touchdowns and an interception. McPherson hit 4 field goals overall, from 32, 31, 52 and 31 yards in the game. Another former SEC star, Ja’Marr Chase, added 6 catches for 54 yards and a touchdown.
After the Kansas City Chiefs won the coin toss, and got the ball first to begin overtime, the Bengals got an interception from Vonn Bell, the Bengals went down the field.

It came after Cincinnati scored 11 points in the third quarter to erase a 21-10 halftime deficit. But similar to last week, Kansas City got a game-tying field goal as regulation expired to force overtime.
With just 4 wins last season, the Bengals have completed one of the more improbable turnarounds in NFL history.
